When you buy something

Checkout happens on a page hosted by Stripe. Stripe collects your name, email address, shipping address, card details and, if you give one, your company name and VAT number. Stripe processes the payment, checks it for fraud, calculates VAT and emails your receipt; its privacy notice is at stripe.com/privacy. We see everything except the card number, and we use it to post your order, issue your invoice, handle returns and warranty claims, and keep the records HMRC requires. We keep order records for six years.

This site stores nothing about your order itself. There is no order database here; Stripe holds the record and we read it there.

When you use the dashboard

If you have an account for the listening post dashboard, we hold the email address you signed up with and the sites you can see, in our database provider Supabase, so that the dashboard can show you your data. Nothing else about you is collected there.

When you contact us

Messages sent through the contact form or by email are kept for as long as we are dealing with them and for our records afterwards.

What we do not do

We do not run advertising or tracking cookies. The site remembers your light or dark theme choice in your browser and nothing else. We do not sell or share your data with anyone other than the providers above, and we do not send marketing email.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk.
